Bainbridge Bring Full Batten Systems to Small Boats

Bainbridge International is delighted to announce the addition of the 25 series batten box to their extensive range of Full Batten Systems. This compact and economical luff box has been designed specifically for small boat applications.

Despite being one of the smallest and lowest cost units available, it has plenty of features and shares many of the benefits of other Sailman products. These include:

• Cover plate design allows easy installation and removal of battens, while the body remains fastened to the sail.
• M10 connecting thread allows compatibility with Sailman 3000, 3500 and 4000 slides, as well as most other slide systems.
• Integral tensioning system for simple and accurate batten adjustment.
• Tough glass filled nylon construction.

Almost all boats benefit from upgrading to a fully battened mainsail and the new series 25 batten box opens up the Sailman opportunity to owners with boats up to 30 feet for the first time. The numerous benefits of a full batten system include: Increased sail area, reduced flogging, more stable sail shape, easier sail handling and allows the sailmaker to use lighter cloth.
