New CL-DIAX-P Cruise Laminates From Bainbridge International

Bainbridge International have announced a major upgrade to their market leading range of CL-P cruising laminated sailcloth.

The new CL-DIAX-P range features a unique construction that improves durability and sail shape. Firstly, they have included a 45 degree DIAX scrim: Using technology borrowed from their racing laminates range, the DIAX scrim minimises stretch. This is important for the cruising sailor as when reefed sail loads are no longer aligned with the panels, stretching of the cloth occurs on the bias. Less bias stretch improves performance and extends sail life.

The second improvement is that inside the laminate, the load bearing scrim is now fully encapsulated between two layers of waterproof film. This helps increase the strength of the laminate, reduces moisture absorption and makes a smoother looking fabric.

Lightweight and durable, the new range of CL-P cruising laminates will enhance the performance of any crusing yacht and provide easier sail and boat handling through long term shape retention.
