Bainbridge International Announces New Silicone Coated AIRX

In 1998 Bainbridge International redefined the standards in spinnaker fabrics with the introduction of AIRX, a range of spinnaker fabrics that combine unprecedented strength, performance and quality. Since then AIRX spinnakers have won some of the highest profile events, been used by the highest profile syndicates and used exclusively by the world’s top sailmakers.

AIRX-720NS is a new high performance silicone finished spinnaker fabric. With even higher tear strength and moisture resistance than standard AIRX products it is ideal for Dinghies, Cats, Skiffs and Sportsboats. AIRX-720NS has been extensively tested and pre-production material has already won a number of high profile events, including:

The AIRX manufacturing process has created a fabric with excellent stability compared to that normally associated with this type of product. The silicone minimises water repellence and reduces surface friction, making for easier gybing of asymmetrics, hoists and drops from spinnaker bags and chutes.

AIRX-720NS joins AIRX-620NS in our silicone range. Both products are available in Arctic White, Red and Royal Blue.
