Bainbridge International to get Youth Afloat!

Bainbridge International was delighted to offer its support to the 17th annual Youth Afloat Festival, held in Poole Harbour on Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July 2001.    

Bainbridge donated in excess of 200 metres of dark blue Ocean sailcloth.   This has enabled Youth Afloat to make approximately 20 new jibs for Wayfarer dinghies and 30 sailboard sails.   
In addition to dinghy sailing and wind surfing, there will be 11 other water-based activities for the youngsters to take part in, from Dragon Boat racing to sub aqua diving.  The two-day water sports festival promises to be packed with action and fun, but above all, it hopes to wet the appetite of hundreds of youngsters to get a taste of these watersports.
